I am drawn to the wonderful colours and textures of Nature, and spend hours depicting detail in watercolour, graphite or coloured pencil.
Keen to introduce and support budding artists in this genre I offer regular monthly classes at Barnsdale Gardens, Rutland. I also deliver botanical workshops and art breaks for a variety of organisations including Nottingham Trent University, Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust, Field Studies Council and Field Art Breaks. All my classes and courses are aimed at beginners and those with some experience; keeping class sizes small allows for individual support, working at your pace.
I have been involved with botanical art since 2002, undertaking a formal certificate in Botanical Illustration at Leicester College. I am a Fellow of the Society of Botanical Artists, a member of the Northamptonshire Botanical Artists Society, the Eden Project Florilegium Society, the Association of Botanical Artists, and the American Society of Botanical Artists.
