Stephanie Ball

A hand builder, I enjoy working with terracotta and grogged stoneware. I make sculptural vessels with a focus on colour and surface texture, layering and scraping away slips and glazes at each stage of making. I tend to work instinctively, allowing the clay and materials to guide me to the finished piece.

My influences range from classic vessel forms to building sites and painters overalls.

I have a background in Fine Art, having graduated from the Slade School BA course in 2008 and I have been working specifically with ceramics for 3 years.
